Tyn Cornel Camping
Croseo/Welcome to Tyn Cornel. If you’re looking for a relaxing country riverside campsite that caters for tents, motorhomes and glamping, Tyn Cornel Camping fits the bill.
We are nestled right on the banks of the River Tryweryn in the foothills of the Arenig Mountains, the southern side of Snowdonia (now named Eryri the original welsh name). If you are looking for a country camping spot, love wildlife and the outdoors and want to be close to Snowdonia National Park, we think you will like it here. The location is special, the scenery is unspoilt and stunning, we are 4 miles from the nearest town called Bala in North Wales and are situated under the Dark Skies of Snowdonia National Park’s vast expanses of undisturbed landscape which sees little to no light pollution allowing for truly exceptional dark skies and quality night air.
There is lots of space for the kids to play, and we provide a peaceful grassy spot with a picnic bench and fire pit. Onsite we have a little shop and our Wifi is free.

Glamping Near Bala, Geo Dome & Pods
We also offer Glamping, the low-hassle camping with extra comfort. We have two Riverside Pods and a Geo Dome for hire. All you need is provided in our beautifully glamping facilities.
Our rather comfortable, pods are heated with electricity, and have a great view of the river and plenty of room for a family of 4.
If you’re after some river action – kayaking, canoeing or whitewater rafting, you can’t beat our location. Our riverside walk takes you from the campsite to the popular National White Water Centre in just five minutes. The outdoor adventure needn’t stop at the riverbank though. If you like hill walking, mountain biking, road cycling or rock climbing the fun is close by.
If you enjoy exploring at a more sedate pace, there is plenty to do within easy reach. The market town of Bala and the beautiful Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) are only 4 miles away from the campsite. The North Wales coastline, with its gorgeous award-winning beaches, is also nearby and you’ll find it hard to choose which castle or narrow-gauge railway to visit first.
Choose your own spot from the nice flat grassy pitches in the camping field. Picnic benches are provided. Firepits too, so you can put your feet up around a cosy campfire at the end of the day. Perfect for the traditional camper.
Hard standing pitches for caravans, campervans & motorhomes or grass pitches for family tents. With 16A power supply and situated in the same field as the heated amenity block, you'll have all the modern comforts plus the beautiful views.
