Activities & Adventure
Aside from being the perfect base for kayaking, canoeing or white water rafting on the River Tryweryn, Tyn Cornel Camping is ideally located for outdoor adventure and activities in North Wales and Snowdonia National Park. We also have e bikes for hire at Tyn Cornel speak with Ben from E-bikes Eryri.

White Water Rafting
Next door to the National White Water Centre with easy access to the River Tryweryn. The perfect campsite to have a go at rafting!
Kayaking & Canoeing
A haven for kayakers, Tyn Cornel Camping has long been a favourite base for running the River Tryweryn or other rivers in North Wales.
Walking
A full spectrum of walks are possible in the area. A riverside walk starting at the campsite, a stroll over the rolling fields to a pub in Bala, or the local peak of Arenig Fawr plus many, many classic walks in Snowdonia.
Mountain Biking
The area is full of great mountain biking. There are trail centres and singletrack galore within a 20 mile radius, DH uplift days close by and classic natural bridleways to explore.
Road Cycling
Tyn Cornel Camping is well placed for fantastic tarmac based cycling. From short spins to all day epics taking in the quiet roads and spectacular scenery of the national park.
Wild Swimming
The huge natural swimming pool that is Bala lake is just down the road. Plus countless other opportunities for open water swimming…
Rock Climbing
Snowdonia and North Wales are a huge draw for climbers. Tyn Cornel Camping is located well for keeping options open to a choice of climbing venues.
