Some Important Points to Note

We want everyone to have a nice, safe and relaxing time at Tyn Cornel Camping so we kindly ask that you note the following:

  • Please don’t disturb your fellow campers.
  • The River Tryweryn is a beautiful and exciting river but does flow fast so please take care. Keep an eye on young children and dogs when near to the river bank.
  • Campfires are only allowed in the traditional grass camping field in fire pits provided by us, using wood purchased on site. We do not allow them in the electric hook-up field for safety reasons.
  • Fire pits are free to hire but we do ask for a deposit, returnable at the end of your stay.
  • As we are a quiet, family-friendly site we ask that noise is kept to an absolute minimum after 11pm.
  • Check-in is from 12pm onwards (3pm for Lotus Belle tents). Please let us know in advance if you will be arriving later than 8pm. We usually lock our gates from 11pm to 8am but the car park is open 24 hrs.
  • We are unable to accept bookings for stag or hen groups. Large single sex groups are welcome only at our discretion and must be booked over the phone, this also applies to any groups of three or more camping units/pitches.
  • To reserve a pitch we ask for 30% or £20 deposit (£60 for Lotus Belle tents), whichever is the greater amount.
  • Please help us keep the grass healthy by raising barbecues, stoves and any heat source, such as hot pans, off the ground.
  • Please keep driving on the grass to a minimum. In rare periods of heavy rain we may ask that cars are parked away from the pitch in the car park nearby.

Full terms and conditions below…

Tyn Cornel Camping Terms and Conditions

How these terms and conditions apply to our contract
We consider these terms and conditions (the “Terms”) and our prices to set out the entire agreement between you and us for the supply of our services to you.  Only these terms shall apply to our contract with you.

Please check that the details in these terms and conditions and your Booking Request are complete and accurate before you commit yourself to the contract.

Please ensure that you read and understand these Terms before you submit your Booking Request.  You may only request a booking if you agree to these Terms.  By submitting a Booking Request you are deemed to have accepted these terms.  This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Tyn Cornel Camping sells camping holidays via www.tyncornelcamping.co.uk and takes bookings direct at the campsite, over the phone or via email.  Any person wishing to make a booking via any of these methods (referred to as “you/your”) acknowledges that such booking is made subject to these Terms.

We reserve the right to change these Terms at any time.  Any such changes will take effect immediately when posted on the Website or at the site, or otherwise brought to your attention.  It is your responsibility to read the Terms each time you submit a Booking Request and any such request shall signify that you have accepted to be bound by the latest set of Terms.  A copy of the latest set of Terms is available on the Website and upon request.

Making a booking
You can book online or direct with the campsite.  Please have details of all party members when making a booking.  Please check your confirmation as Tyn Cornel Camping cannot be held responsible for errors in information provided at the time of booking.

Bookings are not transferable to another party.  When making a booking you agree that you or at least one member of your party is eighteen years or over, you have the authority of all persons in your party to book on their behalf, you accept these Terms & Conditions and you agree to be responsible for any loss or damage caused by any member of your party or animal accompanying you.

Advance bookings may be subject to minimum stays. These vary by pitch and by season, please refer to our website for further details.

As we are a quiet family friendly site we don’t accept bookings for stag and hen groups.  Large single sex groups are welcome only at our discretion and must be booked over the phone, this also applies to any groups of three or more camping units.  A security bond for groups of three units/pitches or more may be requested upon arrival at our discretion.  Refusal to pay the bond may mean the booking is cancelled and money refunded.

For parties larger than six people multiple pitches must be booked.  To accommodate more than six people on a pitch prior permission of Tyn Cornel Camping is required.
We recommend you purchase holiday insurance prior to your trip.

The prices advertised are accurate at the time of booking.  Prices can move up or down and Tyn Cornel Camping reserves the right to amend prices.  Guests are advised to check the website for the most up to date information including our latest promotions, deals and discounts.  Although prices may vary from time-to-time, the price payable is the price confirmed at the time of booking.

It is essential, for security and health and safety, that visitors come to reception on arrival.  Entry to the site and parking on site will be at our discretion.  Visitors are required to leave the site by 10:00pm or when the gates are closed for the night, whichever is the earlier.

Services, features and facilities
Features, facilities or services referred to on the website are subject to availability and may be supplied by third parties.  You use these services, features and facilities at your own risk and Tyn Cornel Camping shall have no responsibility for loss, damage or injury in relation to any services, features or facilities provided or supplied by third parties.

Pitches and units
Unit: a standard unit is a tent, trailer tent, caravan, campervan or motorhome and one car up to a maximum of 8m x 5m, inclusive of guy ropes.  As a guide any unit designed to sleep more than six will not fit on a standard pitch.  Guests with a tent, caravan, motorhome etc. designed to sleep more than six need to contact us and we’ll do our best to accommodate you on a suitable pitch.
Traditional Grass Camping Pitch: an undefined grass pitch on which to station your unit, suitable for tents, trailer tents and small campervans (less than 5.5m in length).  Electric hook-up is not available on traditional grass camping pitches.

Electric Hook-up Pitch: an allocated grass or hardstanding pitch including electric hook-up.

A single attached awning or toilet tent or small trailer is also included in the pitch price.  One car may be parked adjacent to the pitch, ground conditions allowing.  Additional vehicles must be parked in the adjacent car park at a cost of £5 per day.

Every unit should be not less than 6m from any other unit, unless you are camped with other friends/family, in which case the distance is not less than 3m.   Vehicles, awnings or trailers are permitted within the 6m space between units but, in order to restrict the spread of fire, there should always be 3m clear space within the 6m separation.

Lotus Belle tents
There is no vehicular access to the Lotus Belle tents, cars should be parked in the car park.
Fires are only permitted in the fire pits and wood burning stoves provided, using firewood purchased on site.
For safety reasons we respectfully ask for no smoking, cooking or burning of candles in the tents.  Outdoor footwear and pets are not permitted.

We clean the tents after every stay so that when you arrive all you have to do is settle in and make yourself at home.  To assist with this, we kindly request that accommodation is left as clean and tidy as you found it.

Cancellation and changes to your booking

You must give notice of cancellation in writing.  The date of cancellation will be the date we receive your written instruction.
If you cancel your holiday at any point after booking you will lose your deposit already paid. This will be either:

Camping pitches: 30% of the total cost of the booking, with a minimum value of £20 per pitch, whichever is the greater amount.  For cancellations within 28 days prior to arrival you will forfeit all money paid.

Lotus Belle tents: 30% of the total cost of the booking, with a minimum value of £60 per pitch, whichever is the greater amount.  For cancellations within 42 days prior to arrival you will forfeit all money paid.
If you leave site early for any reason Tyn Cornel Camping will not issue any refund for unused camping nights.

Unfortunately in some circumstances Tyn Cornel Camping may have to cancel your booking.  In these circumstances, we will offer you a full refund of any fees paid or the option of an alternative pitch/site of a comparable standard (with you paying any additional cost or receiving a refund in respect of a price difference).  No other compensation is available.

Please notify Tyn Cornel Camping as soon as possible if you wish to amend your booking.  Please note any amendment is subject to availability.  All amendments will be subject to a £10 per booking administration charge plus any additional cost arising from the amendment you wish to make.  This may include cancellation charges within 28 days of arrival for camping pitches and 42 days of arrival for Lotus Belle tents.  Transferred dates must be within the same booking season.

Arrival and Departure
On arrival, please visit the site reception before pitching and pay any outstanding balance on your booking with any additional fees.

Arrival times are between midday (3pm for Lotus Belle tents) and dusk.  As a guide this is no later than 8pm.  Please inform us if you are likely to arrive after 8pm.

For advance bookings, if not notified otherwise, your pitch will be held until dusk on the day of your arrival, after which it will be put up for re-sale and your booking treated as a cancellation with your monies retained.

Pitches must be vacated by 12pm on the day of departure unless otherwise agreed with us.  Departures after midday are subject to availability and the current late checkout fee, please see website for details.

Management and behaviour on site
We want all our customers to have an enjoyable holiday but you must remember that you are responsible for your actions and the effect they may have on others.  In placing a booking request, you agree that you and your party will at all times comply with the requests of the Tyn Cornel Camping team.  As the person booking the holiday, you are responsible for the behaviour of all members of the party whilst on the site.  You must take reasonable care of your accommodation and take precautions for your own safety.  If we (or another person in authority) believe your actions could upset others, put them in danger, or damage property, we may end your holiday.  If this happens we will not pay compensation or meet any expense you incur as a result. It may also mean that we will not accept a future booking from you and you may also be responsible for any loss or damage we incur.

To respect the enjoyment of others, we ask that noise levels are kept to an absolute minimum after 11pm and that you do not disturb your fellow campers at any time.  Fuel powered generators are not permitted on site.
We reserve the right to ask any customer for a security bond regardless of party size. This will be refunded in full at the end of your stay unless, in our opinion, you have displayed unreasonable behaviour (this includes, but is not limited to, excessive noise, wilful damage to the site or other people’s property and abuse of our staff).

Dogs are welcome on our campsite, please see the website for the latest prices.  Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and any fouling must be collected and disposed of.  A maximum of three dogs per pitch are permitted.  If there is an incident on site involving your dog, you may be asked to leave the site immediately.

Children’s supervision & parental responsibility

You are responsible for the supervision of all members of your party under the age of 18.  You must supervise your children and babies at all times.  This is particularly important close to waterways and whilst cycling.

Barbecues and campfires
Charcoal barbecues are allowed on all pitches.  However, campfires are allowed only in the grass camping field, using the fire pits and firewood provided by Tyn Cornel Camping.  No wood can be taken from the local woodland or campsite or brought in from elsewhere.

Campfires are not allowed in the electric hook-up field for safety reasons.

Fires and barbecues must be at least 3 metres away from tents, caravans, vehicles, hedges, trees or property and must cause no damage to vegetation.  They must be used in a responsible manner with reasonable safety measures taken.  Do not leave your fire unattended at any time.  Make sure fires are completely extinguished and cooled before leaving them, and dispose of ash or used barbecues in the designated bins.

Never take a barbecue into a tent, awning, caravan or motorhome.  Never use a fuel-burning appliance to heat your tent or awning.  Don’t cook, or use any other gas, charcoal, liquid or solid fuel appliances inside your tent or awning.

Complaints

We want you to have a great time.  Should you have cause for complaint, please let us know immediately and we will try to makes things right.  We ask you to note that if you do not give us the opportunity to resolve the problem by reporting it to us, we may not be able to deal with any complaint on your return and your rights to claim may have been reduced or forfeited.

If at the end of your stay with us you feel we have not dealt with your complaint satisfactorily, we ask that the main booker submits a written complaint within 28 days of your return home, using the contact details below.
